Why Learn to Swim?
- 1 in 5 of all drowning deaths are children aged under 18 years
- 32 children drowned last year between the ages of 0-14
- Last year alone drowning deaths increased by 15%

- Skills and knowledge learnt at Dolphins provides a level of protection and aims to provide children with a solid foundation in swimming, survival and basic rescue skills.

Our Learn to Swim teachers’ goal in every lesson is to create an adventure where children will be transported by new and innovative teaching techniques. This will ensure that they will both enjoy their time and learnat a faster rate. The facilities have been specifically designed with children in mind and cater to their every need, making every lesson an enjoyable experience.
FEES
Learn to Swim classes are run over the standard school term period, and usually consist of 10-11 classes – one per week (depending on school term length). We also offer discounts for families with more than one child attending Learn to Swim classes.

LEVEL 1
BUBBLES
For babies from 6 months to 2 years of age. A water familiarisation class for Mums, Dads and Bubs!
LEVEL 2
WIGGLE
Water confidence and start of skill development. Learning social skills, how to float and submerge.
LEVEL 3
PADDLES
You can start to see their confidence. Learning to find their independence in the water.
LEVEL 4
KICKER
Kicking and breathing, it’s all happening now. We’re building the foundation for swimming freestyle and backstroke.
LEVEL 5
JUMPIE
Technique and stamina. Learning how to put kicking, pull and breathing all together.
LEVEL 6
DIVER
Introducing breaststroke kick… Look at me – I’m a frog!
LEVEL 7
ZOOM
Breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle… I can do it all, watch me!
LEVEL 8
COMET
Building on swimming endurance and technique of freestyle and backstroke.
LEVEL 9
BLAST
I’ve graduated to the 25m pool! Learning how to swim in a lap lane. Endurance has gone to another level… I’m in an hour class now!
LEVEL 10
FLASH
Distance, stamina and endurance training. Starts, finishes and tumbles are getting critiqued.
LEVEL 11
THUNDER
Lap swimming in all strokes. Getting race ready!
